Last day of the NBA regular season
On this day you can really see some amazing stuff. There are teams that are fighting for playoff spots (Chicago Bulls this year), who play their hearts out against their opponents. There are teams playing for playoff positioning (numerous west teams this year). From those teams you can also see some spirited basketball, which is always amazing. Then there are those teams where the last game of the season means absolutely nothing (those out of the playoff hunt trying to tank for better lottery position, those whose playoff seeding is absolutely unaffected by the results of the last game). These are so obvious. Star players aren't playing, and there's no urgency at all. Makes for a disappointing game, but I suppose rest for stars is important (even though their job is to play games, but hey, I'm not going to judge). GO DURANT! GO THUNDER!!! :)
